The Texas-based esports venue Esports Stadium Arlington has signed sports ewear company goodr as a new sponsor.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ESA will include goodr brand signage throughout the venue and sell its products at the onsite retail space, according to a release. The partnership will last until the end of 2021. As of this writing, no other activations have been announced.
The sports eyewear company was founded in 2015 by self-proclaimed “avid runners” Stephen Lease, Ben Abell, and Keri Blunt, who noticed that workers who engaged in outdoor activities like running and jogging wore cheap sunglasses. The company received a boost from a successful Kickstarter campaign in the fall of 2016 that raised $41,777 USD (goodr had asked for $22,469) from 948 backers.
